Canada – with its unique natural scenery, infinite vastness and highly diverse animal kingdom, the second-largest country in the world has always exerted a fascinating attraction. It still exudes the flavour of adventure, courage and pioneering spirit, so that tens of thousands of people emigrate to Canada every year from countries the world over to seek their fortunes. This multilateralism is a central element of the Canadian identity and is reflected in the tolerance and openness of the way in which people treat each other.

Canada has a total population of around 33 million (3.2 pro km²), spread over ten provinces and three territories, in which the country offers its inhabitants outstanding conditions of a modern, democratic economy: the highest standard of living anywhere in the world, immense energy and fresh water reserves, highly developed industries, a leading role in the fields of ecological sustainability and environment protection, a low crime rate, one of the world’s foremost export nations and much more besides: in other words - Canada is one of the most liberal and richest countries in the world, with enormous future potential.
